My period cycle is always irregular. I never know when I'm getting it, but typically I have heavy cramping, loose stools, and a bloody mess that lasts for 5 days. This month is different. Yesterday I began having a brown discharge of sorts. I've never had a period like that except for my first period which was 6 years ago.

I had unprotected sex on July 16th. This may or may not have been on magic day 14 of my cycle.

I am still experiencing diarrhea like usual, but I have been traveling so my body may just be readjusting.

Is it too early to take an OTC pregnancy test?

It is too early for a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests aren't accurate until 10-14 days after conception.

The 'magic' day 14 isn't always magic for everyone. It depends on how long your cycle is, actually. If you have longer cycles (mine are 32-34 days long) you wouldn't ovulate on that same magic day. I ovulate on cycle day 19, for instance.

Unprotected sex will eventually lead to pregnancy. If you choose not to be pregnant, getting on birth control is a good idea. It also regulates your periods (same day EVERY month) and eases cramps and some are even fortunate enough to get much lighter periods!

It has been 10-14 days after conception, hasn't it? It's the 29th today...

I did. It was negative, but I still think I'm pregnant. I was taking high doses of Vitamin C though. Could that alter the results?
