I have a brown mark on my hand between my thumb and index finger. Areas where the top layer of skin(Brown bit) has come of it is pink. If you look closly there are little white bits visible on the surface. Also smaller patch on face. These marks look like Burns but i haven't burnt them and they are not painful.

I went to my GP who said it is a possible fungal infection and gave me some cream. I also informed him that i have recently return from holidayng in Mexico....

I have since returned to the GP after a week of using the cream with no change to the condition. She has given me a different cream named 'Fucidin H' and said if there is no change come back.

I have a photo but don't how to insert, please advise....

Kind Regards

I have the same brown spots
Elfrado,
I have the same spots after coming back from Mexico (Acapulco). The GP is sending me to a dermatologist. Did you ever find out what it was?
Thanks Bryan

I was also refered to a dermatologist. At first he was quite concrned because the mark was slightly raised... He did not rule out skin cancer which worried me at the time!

he results of the Biopsy came back showing a none specific condition. The dermatologist said it should be nothing to worry about and the marks should fade with time. You can still see the mark albeit alot lighter in colour than before.

Hope this helps Bryan
