I am 41 years old, trying to conceive for the last 2 years. This past month I started having mild cramping, bloating and light to dark brown discharge about 6 days b4 my period was due (Reg cycle - 29days). Fertility doc did vag. ultrasound and found a large ovarian cyst on the right side that was producing it's own hormones. No birth control pills given, he said it was better to let it go away on its own (1-3 mo). My husband and I had intercourse and now I am bleeding heavily! This Wed. it will be 2 weeks of this dishcarge and bleeding....is this normal? And will I have a higher chance of getting more cysts after this one? Will I ever be able to conceive??? Crying or Very sad

What I found online: mosts cysts go away, are really common, and aren't a problem, however, they might need to be monitored if you experience heavy bleeding. (And this might be more to keep you comfortable than anything serious)

There is a tiny tiny chance that it could be ovarian cancer, but that;s really unlikely. And as long as it's not, chances are, your fertility it perfectly fine.

I don't think you're at risk to get more, or that it's something to worry about. But do tell your doc about the bleeding.
