I have been on ortho tri cyclin for over a year and on similar pills for almost 5 years. With a week left on my pills until I start the last week, I started getting a very heavy brown discharge that is more than any discharge I've had before. I've had light spotting before. However, this discharge struck me as unusual considering its consistency, amount, and timing.
I am sexually active with my long-term boyfriend, but we have been having sex less than usual, before the discharge began and not since. I have been extremely consistent and haven't missed or been late on any pills for this cycle, spotting has usually occurred when I haven't been as consistent or with a new pill.
About a year ago, I was diagnosed with high risk HPV. I am worried that there could be a link. I'm supposed to go for my well woman's in July, but this is still a while away.
Could a doctor please put my mind at ease?

I forgot to mention that I've had some pain down there during sex and not.
