Q: Brown Discharg instead of period

I have been off of my birthcontrol for about two months... since I missed my period last month my gyno asked me to wait another month to see if I had one again (before starting another pack of pills). I was supposed to start this week, but instead of blood, it is a very thick grey-ish brown discharge. It does have a pretty disticnt odor as well. My husband was in a motorcycle accident this week, so I was wondering if it could be caused by major stress on my body, or if it is something I should go ahead and sched. an appointment with my doctor about? Thanks in advance.

I have a lil similar problem. I was on Depo-provera but i stopped in may so i haven't been on it since then. I'm not pregnant and i dont get a period. But i've been having this brown discharge. And a lil bit of pain, sometimes shots of pain in my uterus area. And sex is uncomfortable.
