Q: Brown bleeding - negative test
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 4th, 2009
Me and my husband have just started Ovulation calenders to predict my fertility days. However I keep a chart of my cycle since august and its been the same length every month and it normally is regular. I was suppose to get my period today but instead I got it on the 2nd in the middle of the evening and today its is gone. No sign of bleeding at all. When I wipe it is totally clear. When I got it on the 2nd I had no cramps I just felt moist like I had to pee and when I went to the bathroom my panty liner was covered with this dark brown blood. when i rub it on the tissue it was brown, but when I wiped it was red like my period. I had cramps also. But today no cramps and no blood. Could thi be implantation bleeding or what could be going on. I took a test although it was a very cheap one that only cost $1 and it came out negative. I also took the test the third time I urinated today instead of the very first. Help please I need to know whats going on.

Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

If your periods came just 2 days earlier then it could be normal periods. The cycle can at times change under stress. It can also change with season.

However since you are trying for pregnancy, you can now repeat the test again and see since you had a very short and light period. Some women get periods for first 3 months of pregnancy. Take the test at a lab or at a doctor’s and see. Hope this helps. Take care!
