Hello,

My name is Steven and i am the age of 15. I took antibiotics due to my bronchitis problems and these pills/antibiotics are said to clean all the bacteria in you and to be in your body for 10 days, the first 5 days are taking the pills (2 pills the 1st day then 1 pill everyday; total 6 pills) then the next 5 days are just waiting, but i'm on the 10th day and i have been experiencing different symptoms or irritations maybe do to the antibiotics or the Bronchitis. These irritations are : occasional chest pain, diarrhea, and vomiting, non stop burping. I also went to the hospital to get an ultra sound/ lung x-ray and i got the result of just bronchitis nothing more, and after i was prescribed 2 puffers. I experienced most of irritations after i took all my pills and the most irritating is the burping, i breathe in and it feels like gas is being pushed up my throat and it makes a burping noise when i push the gas up my throat but i know i didn't burp because the gas sits at the back of my throat until i actually burp it out. Another irritation would be when i breathe in it feels as if the air is rubbing off something in my throat maybe mucus but when i go to cough up the mucus(Clear/yellow based mucus) and it comes out i can breathe normally but it still feels like its there but only when i exhale at the very last of the exhale it feels like the air is rubbing off something again like a crackle noise from the mucus. Also the reason for my vomiting is sometimes when i try and hack the mucus up i gag and gag then vomit. I don't know whether its symptoms from the antibiotics or just the bronchitis. Please if anyone may know why this is caused reply to this. Thank you for your time towards reading this note. 2thumbs thanks

Are you allergic to antibiotics?

Sounds like it's a combination of both the Bronchitis and the Antibiotics. One of the side effects of Antibiotics (other than the fact that they burn anything that gets in their way) is that they destroy bacteria that reside in your digestive track and assist in the digestive process.

I know that whenever I get sick, my entire digestive system starting from my mouth to my ... feels like it's completely whacked. If your symptoms cause you pain, you may want to contact your doctor, otherwise it seems like it may pass on it's own.

What type of antibiotic are you on?

This is your last day, right? Try to eat some yogurt. It helps to restore the helpful bacteria in the stomach. If your symptoms don't pass on their own, see a doctor.

Good luck and welcome to the community.

Hi, to danielv
I was on the antibiotic Zithromax and i dont have any recollection on being alergict to antibiotics. Also the pain is faiding, but it was this morning i couldnt even smell a peice of food without gagging and i tried to eat some toast and later on when i started to cough i gagged on the phlegm and threw up not sure if these symptoms are from the antibiotics but they must be because there has been some weird changes ever since i took them.
