i unfortunately broke my tibia and fibula in a closed fracture. i have the nailing and screws in my leg. unfortunately nearly 6 months in, it still hasnt healed properly. the doctors are now talking about taking the screws out only as then when i put weight down the bones should "compress" together and heal

anybody shed an insight into this?

is it likely i will be able to play sport again?

i am getting a bit disheartened about the length of time it is taking

thank you

Sometimes it takes a long time for the bone to grow together...I had this problem with my foot...I would think you will be able to play sports again, but ask your doctor...He will be the judge of this...Take care...
