Q: Broken condom at end of pill pack ?

I've been taking Yaz for almost a year, and typically don't miss any pills. Yesterday, my boyfriend and I were having sex and the condom broke Normally, I wouldn't worry, but I only had one more pill left before the sugar pills. I know that sperm can live in the body for up to a week, so I'm wondering if I should skip the sugar pills and continue with the next pack of pills for an extra week or so, just to be safe?

nooo you're totally protected even during the placebo week so just take the placebos as directed and then make sure you start your new pack ON TIME..and youre fine!

but once i start taking the placebos, doesn't that allow an egg to be released?

nope..the pills are spaced out appropriately so that your body has just enough of a break from the pill to have a "period" ..but this is why its VERY important especially to take your LAST pill of the pack and your FIRST pill of the next pack ON TIME! but you are protected even during the placebo days
