Q: broken catheter in left breast

I had breast augmentation done. The dr used the ON Q pain pump. The left catheter got stuck, the DR pulled so hard it broke! He says just to leave it in. I have tried to have it located with ultra sounds, x rays, MRI, Mammogram. It is not showing up. Is it safe to just leave it? I have had pain ever since that happened.Could it have migrated?

Thanks!

Extremely eHealthy
The fragment of catheter, probably, has migrated through the vasculature.
It could cause delayed complications.
If you develop chest pains, you may ask for chest x-ray test.
Repeated breast examination is important, too.

Best wishes!
