My husband is a mixer truck driver. One morning he hit his right chest on the very edge of the truck. The was really terrible. After a week of continued work, he complained that the pain is getting worst. We went to the doctor and she diagnosed that the pain is a RIB CONTUSION. She prescribed NORFLEX AND REMETHAN and advised 4 days rest. However the pain is still there. Everytime my husband touch/ lift something he feels terrible pain on his left chest. So we went to a private physician. He did an X-ray and found out that some soft bones(cartilage)were broken. So he advised him 10 days rest and prescribed CO - CODAMOL. He still feels the pain. What can I do to help?

An injury like this can take a while to heal...If it continues to bother, him have him go back to have it checked over...I know of people that have had bed rest with this...You can help him by keeping him quiet...This alone will be a full time job.... Rolling Eyes

Good luck,
Caroline
