I am a 67 year old female with a nonunion femur.
Femur broke while doing no impact exercising.
Rod was implaced but healing has not started
History:
Osto 7yr ago, pulled bone out of ankle 2yr ago no stress-impact-trauma, broke femur, nonunion femur,
Tests:
Blood, ct, mri, nuclear bone, bone density, All normal.

Treatment: scheduled, rod removal and replacement, bone graft
questions:
1. Why all these bone problems?
2. Are they related?
3. Are there other options, I dread surgery and bone graft until questions are answered.
4. What if I have further bone problems like more nonunion?
