Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If the periods have turned to be heavy and prolonged (compared to your earlier periods), then you should consider getting complete blood & hormonal work-up done to rule out chances of anemia, bleeding problems, hormonal derangements, thyroid hormone dysfunction etc. Ultrasound scan should also be den to rule out ovarian and uterine causes like cysts, polyps, fibroids etc. Get started on treatment as appropriate (based on examination and investigation results). Be in regular follow-up with your treating gynecologist/obstetrician. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
