Q: Bright red blood from nose

For the past 6 months I have experienced bright red blood on the tissues when I blow my nose. Most of the time the blood is laced in the mucous (boogers). Tonight it was a lot worse, mostly bright red blood very little mucous (booger). I have not experienced any nose bleeds. I drink plenty of water and I do not/have not taken drugs. Is this dangerous?
