I did a little magic trick...

And then i heard that it can kill you

Someone said it is very toxic, the residue and the smoke is

i washed my hands twice with soap.

but i smelled the smoke, but i didn't actually inhale it, as if I were sniffling from a cold.

i just smelled it, as if i were breathing.

I'm freaking out, and I need help desperately.

i'm just so paranoid right now, and i have no idea what to do...

i don't see any reports of this, but i'm still worried

please, please, PLEASE help

Video is not available...

Call your local hospital and / or poison control center and tell them what chemicals were involved and what you did and they should be able to tell you about toxicity.

For future reference...don't imitate things like this...it is too dangerous and your life is not worth losing over a stupid, potential life-threatening stunt (even though you found out about the possible killing you after the fact)...

Agreed...but most toxins that we inhale are in and out of the system quickly due to the nature of the lungs. If you inhale a poisonous has, you should move into an environment where there is fresh air immediately. Supplemental oxygen should also be provided for those suspected of inhaling a poison....but the long term effects should be small...

there's the trick, very simple.

i actually washed my hands four times with soap after doing the trick

i feel fine, after three days.

i DID NOT sniff the smoke, i just smelled it, and i didn't really smell anything. But i didn't PURPOSELY inahale the smoke.

The "striking surface" is a matchbox is made of sand, powdered glass, and a chemical called "red phosphorus". Under wet alkaline conditions, red phosphorus slowly releases phosphine gas, which is highly toxic and highly flammable. Check it out in Wikipedia...and let this be a lesson in preparation. Be sure to know what you're getting into before you do it!
