Q: breasts hurting for 2 months

i have been on birth control for the first time for 2 months now and ever since day one my breasts are tender and hurt a lot and have grown quite a bit.. iknow they are suppose to grow.. but are they suppose to hurt this much? all the time? its really annoying.. i cant even give hugs to people right..

Unfortunately, some people are very sensitive to the hormonal effects of birth control pills. You should, of course, be examined to rule-out the possibility of any worrisome breast masses. Beyond that, your gynecologist might try a different oral contraceptive prescription to see if this reduces your breast pain.
