Q: Breastfeeding while on antipsychotics

I have schitzophrenia but are not on any meds because I am pregnant, but soon I will give birth and I was wondering if anyone knows any medicine that one can take while breastfeeding?

Some antipsychotics may be taken while breastfeeding. There are two drugs, clozapine and olanzapine, that SHOULD NOT be taken if breastfeeding. You should discuss your medication with your doctor to make sure your medication will not adversely afect your child through the breast milk.
