Q: Breast reduction at 19?

I am 19 and between a DDD and an E cup. I have had large breast since 9th grade, but then they were closer to a C, or a D. My breast are the only part of my body that has changed in years. I have major back issues, and my boyfrend often tells me that i am hunched over, and to sit up strait. My breast are weighing me down. My mom and I had a long conversation about getting them reduced, and to start talking to my Dr. I have been looking at what people say and that it changed their life, not only they can wear shirts, swim suits, and dresses that actually fit, but they are not in constant pain.
It is partly about vanity with me, and being able to wear the cute swim suites, and not have to buy them with underwire so that i can at least have SOME support, but i am in college, and am often sitting over a desk or computer, and with 15 or 20 extra LBS it does not help my already stressed back.
All of the articles that I have read say that most people are late 20's and up.
Has anyone gotten a breast reduction? and how old were you when you did? would anyone recomend someone as young as i am to get one?

Get is as soon as the doctor approves it. I think 19 is okay age since your not going to grow anymore.

Just research for a good surgeon. Go to two or three surgeons for consultation, see their portfolios and credentials.

I haven't done breast reduction but I have done other plastic surgery and have no regrets. I wished my parents had of approved at your age. So go for it! Smile

My sister had breast reduction surgery when she was in her late twenties. At the time she was happy and relieved to have it done but she has since regretted it. (Keep in mind this is just one person's opinion. I'm not saying whether you should do it or not.) She was an E cup, I believe. She had back problems, so that was a factor in her decision to have the surgery. She was also called 'Dolly' and got way more attention from men than she wanted. She was heavy, about a size 18, and had her breasts reduced to about a 34C. She now regrets it because the size of her breasts detracted from the size of her tummy. Now her belly sticks out more than her breasts do. Also, ironically, she misses being seen as a desirable woman. She was told that it was possible for her breast size to go back up but the surgery was about fifteen years ago and she has remained the same size.
