Hello,

A few years ago I had some small cysts on my breast. Today I went for a mammo and I have a large mass. I'm not sure what to think and won't know anything until my doctor gets the results. I have larger breasts and the mass was about the size of a fist. My breasts hurt all the time. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't have a history of breast cancer in my family but I am really scared. Has anyone else had anything this large that turned out to just be benign?

Wendy-have you been contacted with results yet? I would think if anything needed to be told to you they would have gotten a doc in at time of mammogram or yesterday at least, my prayers are this is the case..

I only say that about them getting a doc in then and there is because when we were overseas my neihgbor was found to have a highly suspicious lesion that turned out to be a ductal cyst growing irregular it was rather big..They did the surgery that week.. Thankfully it was only a cyst and it did hurt her..Please keep me posted..continuing prayers for you honey..

Thank you! Yes, my doctor's nurse called me yesterday and told me I need to go for an ultrasound. She said it could just be dense area and I do have cysts that have grown so they need to do the ultrasound. She told me not to worry. To tell you the truth, it's been such a bad year that I don't even get stressed anymore. It's like I'm numb to a lot of things. I'll keep you updated but I'm sure it will be fine.
