Q: Breast discomfort

I have discomfort in my right breast. This discomfort extends to my rib, chest wall, neck, under my arm then down my arm to my hand. Over the last couple of weeks the discomfort has extended round to my shoulder blade. I've had a breast scan, and no lumps detected. Mastalgia was diagnosed but I'm worried it's something more than this. This is non cyclical and the discomfort has been present on and off (mostly on) for approximately 10 months now. I am now 4 months pregnant and was hoping this would have settled down. Any ideas what can be causing this and how it can be cured?

Noncyclic breast pain is only rarely associated with an underlying identifiable cause.
Causes can include breast cysts, breast trauma, prior breast surgery or benign breast tumors, such as fibroadenomas.

My suggestion is to get checked for gallbladder diseases, too, cause this pain can be just referred pain from another place or organ in your body.

The major cause for breast, chest, shoulder and between shoulder pain, is caused by pinched and / or dislocated nerves in your back. I do not know where you live but I would suggest you see a special therapist to work on this a soon a possible.

Good Luck
