Q: Breast cancer

My breasts are both warm and tender. They sometimes look red too. I've seen my doctor who put me in Microgynon 30, but its making my breasts this way! I am worried its something bad. I've got Yazmin to take but I need to wait a week, just finished my old pills. Whats going on?? It is cancer??

Your symptoms (warm and tender both breasts) are not typical for breast cancer. Breast cancer is usually manifested by finding a palpable lump inside the breast.

Your symptoms could be side effects from the birth control pills.

You may want to consult your primary health provider or your gynecologist.

Re: Breast cancer
What to do? I'm 23 and I work at Burger King 5 days a week sometimes 6 days a week. My armpits keep humongous pertruding lumps. This year my breast began to ache near each armpit. Recently I have been experiencing severe symptoms. Everyday after work my knees and legs are extremely swollen. When I wake up the swelling has gone down, but I must return to work so the swelling never really goes away. While sitting my legs painfully tingle and pulsate as I begin walking again. After sleeping I awaken to the same painful sensation in my arms or legs. I'm afraid. Yes the lumps in my armpits (both or one armpit) get larger and larger and larger every day. There is irritation as if someone took a scouring pad and scraped the skin off from my arpits, but those pores have clear fluid in them which is only evident when looking very closely (Not on the lumps, though). I plucked a hair to examine it and observed a thick white substance surrounding the follicle. It was easy to pluck out which scared me. I used to shave a lot and this began, now I don't shave at all after 6 months and it still happens to me.
