My mother had a breast cancer five years ago. She was cured using surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. Few days ago they've find a secondary cancer on her collar bone. She had the orevious check of collar bone 10 months ago, and it seemed that it was everything ok. Now, I would like to know if any of you had the similar case, or know anyone that had. I would appreciate if anyone can tell me someyhing about the therapy they received and what are the chances to be cured? Can anyone tell me if it is a huge period (10 months after the previous check) for the secondary cancer to spread a lot, or there is still hope that it could be cured succesfully?
Thank you very much!

Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are main treatments suggested for secondary bone cancer.
Although, the treatments can't cure the bone metastases, they'll suppress the cancer growth and ease the pain associated with the cancer.

The prognosis depends on the type of the primary cancer, the rate of progress of the cancer, and the response to treatment.
