Blood pressure between 120/80 and 139/89 is considered as pre-hypertension (blood pressure readings with a systolic pressure from 120 to 139 mm Hg or a diastolic pressure from 80 to 89 mm Hg).
Normal blood pressure is below 12o and below 80.
If a life-style changes aren't done, this condition will likely progress to hypertension.
Pre-hypertension, as hypertension, can increase the risk for heart attacks, strokes, congestive heart failure, and renal failure.
