My boyfriend has what we think is a hernia...It's very large and I keep telling him he needs to have it taken care of...His groin and scrotum are huge...he keeps saying he will have it looked at...What should I do? nurse looking doctor

Hernia that has changed its size into bigger lump, feels painful, and can't be pushed back, is hernia that needs to be repaired.
Actually, doctors believe that hernia repair is less dangerous than strangulation, a serious complication of hernia, that occurs when part of the intestine gets trapped inside the hernia.

Try to convince your boyfriend to get checked by a surgeon for evaluating the lump!
