Hi
I'm a 44 yr old female.
Family history: My father passed away age 58yrs from stomach cancer (although he had cancer in the bowel but by the time they found it was too late so never investigated further to find out which was primary) My female cousin (father's side) died of bowel cancer age 50yrs (diagnosed early 40's). My mother and sister suffer from pockets in their bowels

In 2009 I went for first colonoscopy/gastroscopy had 5 poylps removed from bowel...2 of them were very large and pre malignant one of which was the flat type. I also had Helicobactor Pylori which was treated.

In 2010 I had 2 polyps in stomach and 1 in bowel removed

In 2011 (just last week) I had 3 polyps in stomach and 2 in bowel removed.

My surgeon suggested next one at 18mths to 3 yrs but I am concerned that each year there are polyps being found. Shouldn't I be going every year?

Pathology report is ok and no sign of H pylori but I still have a pain in the stomach (roughly between the ribs) that comes and goes but seems to get worse usually with eating. Nexium doesn't help as it doesn't seem to be reflux or heartburn. I was wondering if I should get my gall bladder checked? Could this be a possible cause? Any other suggestions?

Also My husband's family history also has bowel cancer on his side with his mother and sister (passed away 52) both having it and he has had 1 polyp removed a year ago. So seeing as it is on both sides of the family at what age should my boys start getting checked? I was also considering genetic testing but not sure whats involved.

sorry I know it's a lot but any answers would be appreciated.
Thanks
