Q: Bowel movements after surgery

Well seems like since my surgery i've been going to the bathroom alot in the morning..little cramps and mostly dirreha about 3-5 times in the morning(I do drink coffee and smoke) seems to be worse after i drink or smoke but i get up feeling that way too before i drink or smoke?????? any suggestions?? It was back surgery(lower) It does not last all day!

How long ago was your surgery? Could the diarrhea be a side effect of any antibiotics or medications you are taking post-surgery?
