Is botox a safe and effective method in treating TMJ? I am in terrible pain from this, and have been for over 2 years. Cant chew gum/yawn/eat nuts...etc. Hubby is getting frusterated (thats another topic Wink
Do you know of anyone practicing this method in Ontario? I am desperate!!!

TMJ - Botox
I dont do anything for the pain? I cant find a good dentist to help either. Some say a good "splint" can ease pain, but I dont believe that!
Im now in "lock jaw", and willing to try botox.
If you ever hear of one, keep me posted! Feel better...

I don't believe in the splints either...I can go through one of those really really fast, they say to wear them all the time....it did nothing for me......And I also heard that the botox were expensive.....i'll keep checking......
