I can't find anything on it...so if you can't find anything as well a neurologist would be the next best thing Smile

Good Luck!

I have been trying to figure out what this is for a while. Can't seem to find any concrete definition. I have heard that it is due to the lateral areas of the brain which control the hands being close in contact so neurological signals affect both. My mum is a GP and has said that it often happens in young children but that you normally grow out of it when you're about 5, though I'm not sure whether she may have just been winding me up a bit...I'm 20 and it hasn't really hindered any progress - it sometimes kinda cramps in my left hand when I'm doing exams (with my right hand). It only seems to happen when I'm not thinking about it, for example, I play the harp and the saxaphone and my hands can work independently then, as they can when I type. I'm studying psychology and haven't come across anything on it. There seems to be quite a few questions of a similar vein floating about on the internet, but yeah, if you can get hold of a neurologist they would probably be your best bet.
Hope this helped =)
