Hi
The bone Island is known in medical terminology as Enchondroma and is by and large is a benign tumor. The same usually remains asymptomatic if required please get a Bone scan done as some of the bone island are painful and bone scan can better diagnose the same.
If there is pain you may be advised to get the same operated which is not required in patients without symptoms.
thanks from Dr Chowhan
