body/skin changes after medical abortion

I had a medical abortion October 2011, the doctor gave me my usual birth control pill that i started instantly after with the bleeding. In the days following my skin (face mainly but also chest and upper back) broke out like crazy and have only got worse since, even to this day may 2012 i also had a mild scalp condition that has never happened before.

Can the hormone changes resulting from the pregnancy etc cause this? I'm already a mother to two children and after the pregnancies this did not occur.
