I have general odour that no one else seems to be able to smell, but when I break wind its the same smell, that of rather sweet putty. Years ago in a promiscuis life, I remember the same smell before being informed I had an std, cant find anything relevent on symptoms of stds. Any help?

Extremely eHealthy

I guess I've never heard of that.
If this weird smell is your only symptom then I don't think it's an STD. Is there anything you commonly eat around the time that you smell this?
