Q: Body feels on fire

I have been to the ER at least 12 times in the past month in a half...and the first visit was by ambulance. I have no insurance and am currently looking for a job...so people are a little hesitant on providing tests or treatment. So far I have lost between 30 and 40 pounds in just 6 weeks...here are some of the things i've experienced....any help is appreciated:

Whole body feels like it's on fire inside...but sometimes it's just my stomach, chest, shoulders, upper arms, back shoulder blades, neck, and behind my ears.

I get really nauseated and sometimes dry-heave

low-grade fever sometimes (99.Cool

Can't eat much of anything

stomach makes all kinds of noises if I do eat a little something

the sound of acid in the back of my throat at all times of the day...when i'm waking up...after I've eaten... etc.

Pain in the stomach...right under sternum and to my right around my ribs... sometimes pain in my kiddney area and lower stomach.

I have had alot of "heart palpatations" and bursts of high heart rate...they have put me on atenolol and this seems to keep most of it in order but not all the time.

I was told to drink ensure since I can't eat and ended up in the hospital and being admited....made it a WHOLE lot worse.

sometimes I have a little bit of diahrehea and sometimes i'm constipated...when this all started my BM's where a mustard yellow and most of the one's i have now are light in color.

I have had my appendics taken out quite a while ago..... Current blood tests just show that my liver numbers are slightly abnormal.

I've had a GB ultrasound which showed no stones.

I've had an upper scope which was normal and showed no H-pylori.

They have ran alot of tests on my heart which come back ok...CT scan of my aorta was ok... echocardiogram was ok... blood work (heart) was okay.... ultrasound of legs and CT of chest showed no blood clots.

I'm trying to get a HIDA Scan done but am having problems getting someone to do it....

ANYONE have any thing like this? This makes me feel like I am dying and no one can help me. I have a 5 year old son to be here for so I am VERY eger to find out what is going on.

ALSO... if this is my gallbladder and it isn't working is that dangerous? When a gallbladder isn't working does it create too much acid? Can this acid eat a whole in something? I am VERY worried about all this.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.

Have you been seen by a specialist?

You said that you have had a upper scope; what about a lower one (colonoscopy)?

Liver numbers are slightly abnormal. Are they not concerned or bother to elaborate?

Think of it this way...let's say a normal range is between 10-20 (I don't know what the range would be, I'm using this as an example only)...and your number is 22...your true normal may be 15 but with a range...that's what it is; a range for people.

In this EXAMPLE your test shows slight abnormal however per your body it is not slight but truly off base.

This may not be the case but if all your other tests have come back normal and this is the only one that is not; then I would question the results or at least have that test reran and ask lots of questions...it's your health and your life.

What you are experiencing is not normal at all...

I have seen a GI doctor...he is the one that did the upper scope.... he wanted $500 up front just for the 10 minutes he spent to do the scope so i am tapped out on money..so the odds that I will get a lower scope is slim to none.

All I can get out of anyone I ask is that my liver numbers are slightly abnormal...I think i have been to the ER soooo many times that they feel like they have no time for me. I call the GI and my pcp but all I get are the answering machines and days of waiting for a call back upon which I am not by the phone so they leave a msg for me to call but when I call back I get the machine again...like a never ending circle.

At this point if there is anything that will be done for me I truely believe that I will have to do it myself....like requesting that I do a Hida Scan...

But rest assured...I will NOT give up until i've found out what this is.... Life shouldn't have to be like this.

Thanks for the reply.
