Today I experienced blurry vision at the left side of my visual field in a crescent moon shape. Not only was it blurry, but there was flashing light sensation, on and off like a flickering. It went away with no stigmata afterwards, but I am worried. What could this be?

Extremely eHealthy

An impression that a part of peripheral vision field has been covered with veil, and flashes of light, very brief in the extreme peripheral (outside of center) part of vision, are most likely symptoms of retinal detachment.

See your ophthalmologist as soon as possible!
