Q: Blue around inside of legs

Hi Girls,

I have not been around much at all lately.. more lurking in the shadows checking out what people have been talking about. Anyways, last weekend (Sunday) when I got Chandler up in the morning and went to change his diaper, I noticed that he was all blue around the inside of his legs where the diaper would have been. I figured that perhaps my mom had just put his diaper on too tight as she was babysitting the night before and got him ready for bed. I kept my eyes on it for a few days and it was going away. So I thought nothing more of it. Well this afternoon when I changed his diaper again before his nap, I saw that he is all blue there again. Has anyone else run into this issue? I am going to make an appointment with my doctor because I find it odd that it has happened 2 times in a Week. His diaper was not on too tight last night or this morning so I am at a loss as to whats going on. If anyone else has had this happen before, please let me know.

Thanks,
Mary

Maybe it's a health problem or it could be the dye from his clothes rubbing off on him? Or is this inside his diaper?

Its under the skin on his legs. Looks like bruising. It has appeared for the 3rd time and since my doctor is so far away, I am going to take him to outpatients in the morning to see if they can give me any insight into it.

You really want to get a blood test if you think it is bruising. I don't want to scare you, so lets see what the results from that are first before we worry about it.

Keep us updated. All the best!

Maybe he had poor circulation in his legs?

watch for other parts of his body to become blue or purpleish like around his lips, fingers and toes!

Hope everything is well.

I don't believe it would be poor circulation as from what I understand it's in the same spot...I'm with mominashoe...get tested and go from there...

SmilesandSunshine: Is that a picture of Hannah? She's adorable Smile
