Bloody discharge following diarrhea

Hadn't defecated in a few days. Finally had a bowel movement, it was very loose and gassy and Diarrhea-esque. About an hour after my last movement, I felt like I had to pass gas. I went to the toilet. The result was gas and what looked to be discharge, consistency of phlem, but looked like what soft lining would look like, it was red. Two pieces of discharge each about the size of a quarter. No pain whatsoever. No obvious hemorrhoids near the rectum. Thoughts?
