Q: Bloody discharge and pill

My period is due any day now, i havent been feeling any symptoms of pregnancy, but as i said in a earlier post. I am on the pill, and even though the condom busted, there was only pre-ejaculate in the condom. However, just a few weeks after sex, i noticed a almost brownish color discharge in my panties. Other times there was nothing, and then sometimes it looked white with pink in it. I continued to take my pills as i normally would, and the colored discharge stopped? Now i'm hopefully about to start my period and the colored discharge is back again.
Is this spotting? Could the pills not have been working? Am i Pregnant?

Break-thru bleeding is common on birth control. In no way does this mean you are pregnant.

thanks. Today at school i had MAJOR cramps, as if i wee going to start my period. I went to the washroom to see nothing on the pad i had just in case. but when i wiped myself it was just like my period had started. When i came home, i used the washroom again, and the same thing happend. it's not on the pad, but when i wipe, it's there?
it looks like my normal period? so it is my period?

Are you on your sugar pills? How long have you been taking the pill?

I've been on the pill about 3 years. I take a 21 day pill not 28. So i dont take sugarpills.
