Q: Blood test

The first day of my last period was March 16. I have been really tired, have had cramping for about 2 weeks now, and have been urinating a lot, even getting up in the middle of the night.

I have taken 4 pregnancy tests and they all came back negative. I wne tot the doctor yesterday and took a blood test and will get the results Monday morning.

I feel pregnant (does that even make sense) and I am excited to get the results back from the test, but I also know not to get my hopes up.

This is the first time I have ever missed my period, and my husband and I have been ttc since January.

Is it very common to have neg pregnancy tests, then a positive blood test. If this blood test is negative, and I still do not get my period, was the blood tst the final word, or should I have another blood test?

Also, what exactly does the blood test pick up that the home pregnancy test doesn't.

Thnaks!
