I have high blood pressure 160/ 90 without medication. With medication it has gone as low as 122/71.

My problem is that I have had a reaction to all the medications I've tried.

Calcium-Channel Blockers: Amlodipine 5mg bad headaches.

Diuretic: Indapamide 2.5mg raised blood sugar levels.

Angiotensin II antagonists: Olmetec 20mg poison system mussle ache very bad.

ACE Inhibitors: Coversyl 2mg tingling hands feet.

Diuretic: Benzaflurizide raised colestrol.

The Diuretics raised my blood sugar levels or colestrol and I was taken off these. I had a very bad reaction to Angiotensin II antagonists. And the Calcium-Channel Blockers which i started two weeks ago are giving me very bad headaches.

I see my doctor next week. Any suggestions please, to help me with this medication problem.

Might be worth a try...
Given your rather impressive list of meds and side effects, it might be worth trying some non-drug alternatives.

You have probably already been told about the lifestyle changes that can really help blood pressure, such as the DASH diet, maintaining a health weight, reducing your sodium consumption, exercising, not smoking and not drinking alcohol in excess. If lifestyle changes are not enough, there are a few devices on the market that have been clinically proven to lower blood pressure.

Resperate is a device that works using music and special breathing patterns. It is FDA cleared and has a number of clinical trials to support it. Stress Eraser is a competitor that is a fraction of the price.

Zona Plus is a device that guides you though a specific isometric therapy. It was discovered by the Air Force, has been featured in magazines like the Harvard Health Letter and cleared by the FDA. Studies show that it may actually help heal the endotheial lining in your veins and change your vegal tone.

All of these products offer warranties, so they don't work you can return them! They also have NO SIDE EFFECTS!!!

Good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I did read about Resperate but was not sure if it would work.

I was happy on Indapamide (Diuretic) until I found out that I had raised blood sugar levels and that Indapamide was the cause.
