Q: Blood pooling in hands

When I stand with hands by my side all the blood pools to my hands and fingers. The color is very red and sometimes almost purple. There is no pain and they do not feel cold or hot. Sometimes they do have a slight "full" feeling. When I lift my hands up above heart level they instantly turn back to white/normal color. Is this a cause for concern? My family doctor didn't seem concerned at all.

Blood pooling in hands
My daughter and I both developed this condition last month; that has me worried. If anyone knows how this is possible please let me know. Doctors know nothing (no offense) so any help would be appreciated.
