Welcome to e health forum.

The normal platelet count is 1.5 - 4.5 lakhs per cmm.‎

For your information, bleeding tendency and symptoms occur only when the platelet count is very ‎‎‎low‎ (less than 20000 platelets/cmm.

Since your levels are just borderline, you need not worry about major symptoms or complications.

Most of the time, viral infections can result in slight decrease in the platelet counts. In such cases adequate rest and supportive management alone will suffice. Folic acid supplements can be taken to help proper blood growth.

Consult your doctor for a proper evaluation, so that the cause of your low platelets can be known. Treatment will be based on the underlying cause.
