I don't know where else to ask this.

I was just wondering.. a friend of mine who's got o negative blood said he lost a quarter of his blood over a period of 3 days (today being the 3rd day, he donated this morning). he said he donated it at 3 different hospitals each day. he weighs 59kg.. and donated a total of 1100 ml to 1230 ml. his estimated total blood volume is 4425 ml. he didn't take any medicine or eat anything.. just was thirsty a lot. he didn't feel faint or weak at all. and today.. he told me he cut his wrist in an accident. it bled for 10 minutes.. and that too thick blood, then the wound clotted. is that supposed to happen for a person who has lost a quarter of his blood? I thought he would bleed to death. and he feels perfectly fine.

Please tell me if this is possible. I want to believe him as he's a good friend.. but I'm finding it hard to believe he didn't feel ANY bad side effects of giving so much blood. he's really thin and weak too. so... is it possible?

please i need to know if he's telling the truth. that he suffered no bad effects other than thirst and that his bleeding stopped in ten minutes instead of bleeding a lot. so anyone who knows about this subject.. please respond.
