Q: blood in urine and low wbc

i have a male friend who is in alot of pain when he goes for a wee, hes been 2 the doctors and gave a urine sample which the doctor said hes never seen anything like it. it was very dark and had blood in it . he also said he had no white blood cells, could anyone shed any light?

it sounds like some sort of malfunction of the kidneys or bladder. these could be caused by infection, kidney stones, immune disorders, and other conditions. he needs to have his urine and blood checked for micro-organisms to rule out the chance of infection. if it is not an infection, his doctors will most likely need to perform more in depth examinations of his kidneys, bladder, and urinary tract.

the issue with the white blood cells is not clear, as blood is usually not supposed to be found in urine. sounds like he needs to have a blood test done to make sure that his immune system is functioning normally.
