Colon Cancer Answer A4487
Current medical status: find blood in my poo the last 2 times
Current medical treatment: none

“Blood in the stool” means that you bleed from a part of your digestive system. Black blood means that the blood originates from upper parts of the digestive system (duodenum, stomach, esophagus, pharynx, and mouth) or from the nose. Presence of red blood means that blood originates from the lower part of the digestive system (jejunum, ileum, colon, and rectum). Blood in the stool is always due to a pathological process. Hemorrhoids, inflammations, and tumors are the most common causes for bleeding from the lower digestive system. Bleeding from the upper digestive tract could be due to tumors, peptic ulcers, esophageal varices, etc.

You may want to request a colonoscopy to find out the source of bleeding.
