please someone tell me if blood in stools after having tghe appendix removed is normal. My 14yr old daughter had blood on the 5th day after surgery..on the 6th day she had grren stools..please help?

Hello and welcome to e health forum.

Presence of blood in the stools could be seen post surgery, in case exudation from the site of injury. But this should not be seen as fresh blood, and should not be seen on days 5 -6 after the procedure.

You might consult with the operating surgeon for a examination and tests including stool examination which will help to provide proper treatment and help.
