HI!I am 22 years old. When I deficated hours ago, everything felt normal. What alarmed me though was when I saw blood on the tissue paper. It wasn't that much though, when I wiped it again after I saw the blood, there was no blood anymore. I'm just concerned because I have faily history of cancer, no colon cancer yet but I just want to know. This is the first time it happened though but I also know that earlier diagnosis of any cancer is best. So I just want to ask, how much blood is considered alarming? Should I worry about any other cancers as well? Thanks and Godbless.

You probably just strained and have a hemorrhoid or could have torn something....if its bright red, and stops, you should be ok. If this keeps on for the week, I'd suggest then calling your physican. A lot of times constipation and not drinking enough water can cause strain and this will happen. I agree with ioka on this as well....certain meds...lots of factors! You're gonna be fine....any cancer history in your family?

Thank you very much for your replies. The next day I observed if there was still any blood on the tissue and there was and it's more than the first one but on the third instance there was no blood anymore.I going to see tomorrow if it still happens. And yes, I have cancer history in my family, in fact a cousin of mine just died of brain cancer, 2 of y grand parents died of cancer as well, and sister of my dad had breast cancer and another cousin of mine died of liver cancer. So that's why it does worry me. No one died of colon cancer though. But thank you very much for taking time in answering my post. God Bless!
