My husband had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago, he was extremely bruised from his waistline down to the top of his legs. His left testicle swelled to the size of a grapefruit and our doctor referred us to our local hospital as she had never seen anything like it. After having a scan the surgeon confirmed that it it a large blood clot and prescribed ciprofloxacin which is an antibiotic - although they also confirmed that he does not have any infection so I am a bit confused. He has been given pain killers as he has developed acute pain in the back of his leg and set home. They told him it could take a further 4 weeks for the blood clot to reabsorb into his system- I am not convinced that this will work as if anything over the last three weeks the clot has grown. Do you have any advise for me and if there is anything that will help with the reabsorbing process? Kindest Regards. Concerned Wife.
