Q: blood and mucus when wiping
asked by: Anonymous on December 13th, 2008
About a week ago I had really loose bowels.  about 5 days ago I started having severe pain very low abdomin almost to pelvic area.  It seemed to be worse when I had to pee.  I've not been having very heavy bowel movements - just a little some hard, but lots of gas.  Pain much better after I pass gas or pee.  but yesterday I saw bright blood on paper after wipping and today it was darker and a little thick with mucus.  Is this a flu virus or what.  Im really scared.  Its Christmas and I don't want to go to Dr. but I know I should.

Was the blood noticed after you had some hard bowel movements (small and pellet like)?
Do you feel pain relief after having a bowel movements?
Are you experiencing sudden, overwhelming urges to urinate?
Have you been through a stressful period recently?
