Q: Blocked nose on one side

I've read somewhere that it's normal for one side of your nose to be blocked most of the time, hence only allowing you to breathe through one side. Is this true? I find that one side of my nose is always blocked. Not completely blocked, I can still breathe through that blocked side, but with difficulty (the other side is usually fine). Sometimes it switches. Sometimes they're both unblocked (I assume that's when I don't notice it).

I don't have a runny nose, haven't had hayfever recently, not sick... I don't feel anything except for that blocked bit. Is this constant blocking of one side "normal", or should I be worried?

Oh, I might add... when I look inside my nose, I notice that the blocked side is more "swollen" than the other side (kind of like what you get when you have a flu, I think).

Thanks Smile

Nasal problem
I have the same problem and so does my next door neighbour. I have been to the doctor and he has given me some nasal spray and if that doesn't work he's referring me to the ear, nose and throat place. I don' no what it really is. haha. I'm on my 3rd week of using it but it's still not working. I hope you get yours sorted out! Smile
