For the past 6 mos. I have been having horrible bloating and painful full feeling after starting in the late afternoon, every day, and the only time I get relief is for a few days right before my period.
I have had scopes done to check for any kind of gastrointestinal problems and was all clear with the exception of mild gastritis that I've had for several years. I changed up my diet in case it was the gastritis flaring up, and did not help.
I have been on bio-identical hormones for about 6 years now, since I turned 41. Several months ago when I complained to my dr. about the bloating problem, she increased the milligrams on my progesterone. I gave it a few months to see if that would make a difference and it hasn't.
I am getting so mentally worn out from this and depressed about it. It is every single day. I usually have to go lay down and stretch out and use the heating pad. I can't even wear my usual clothes in the afternoons. I've had the bloating problem plenty of times in the past, and my dr. would change around the dosages and things would quickly balance back out.
She also sent me to get a pelvic ultrasound to check my ovaries and the only thing that was found is a cyst and fibroids but she said they were very small and would not be contributing to the bloating. I also started having a period every 2 weeks for a couple of months. I began thinking that maybe this is just something I have to accept and deal with. My last test showed all my hormones were in check and in normal range. I just don't get it, I've tried everything I can think of with changing around my diet, giving up caffeine, chocolate, I work out every day, eat a bland diet.
