I do not have a history of ulcers or anything of that sort. My health is relatively good. A few days back my stomach suddenly became very bloated. When I press down on it, it bounces back like a thick balloon that has been filled with too much water. I have been having regular bowel movements but have not been passing gas as regularly as I do usually. Should I just get some Gas-X and see what happens?

Feeling bloated can be due to many factors.
It could be the way you eat (large meals eaten quickly), food rich in carbohydrates, food rich in fiber, stomach low acidity, Helicobacter Pylori stomach infection, pancreatic disorder, gallbladder diseases, bacterial overgrowth in the intestines, inability to digest and absorb food sugars, and others conditions.
You may start with paying attention on the food you eat (discontinue the use of food that makes you feel bloated)
If this continue to bothers you, visit your physician for the correct diagnosis.
Knowing the additional symptoms with this feeling of bloated, are very important to get the correct diagnosis.
